Centre National d’Etudes Spatiales

DIAMOND SA is an international company headquartered in Switzerland, since many decades active in the fiber optics domain. Our Active Core Alignment (ACA) technology allows for incomparable optical performances, including the lowest insertion loss.  Thanks to the development of specific products such as the AVIO, Diamond entered the Space community in the mid-90s; the AVIM connector family shortly followed. The recognized heritage of the AVIM connector was indispensable for further development, resulting in the Mini-AVIM connector. Since 2004, Diamond maintains a strict collaboration with ESA. DYNAMIC OPTICS

Dynamic Optics aims to become a technology leader in adaptive optics technologies. Recent advances in imaging and laser processing techniques are increasingly requiring optical systems to be tuned in accordance with the specific configuration in which optics are used. Defocus adjustment, aberration correction, light shaping are some of the many tasks that traditional optics are not able to achieve with the accuracy and speed needed for many applications. Dynamic Optics is ready to take on this challenge thanks to its researchers’ experience, motivation and clear understanding of where the market is going. Dynamic Optics manufactures multi actuator adaptive lenses, deformable mirrors and wavefront sensors for use in many applications: microscopy, vision science, astronomy, high power lasers and defence.

Fraunhofer INT

Fraunhofer INT investigates the effects of ionizing radiation on electronic, opto-electronic, and photonic components and systems. Fraunhofer INT operates the most comprehensive set of irradiation facilities in Europe and can simulate almost any type of radiation, energy and radiation effect relevant in space. The INT performs irradiation tests based on international standards and advises companies regarding radiation qualification and hardening of components and systems. The knowledge obtained in years of radiation testing is also used for the development of new radiation sensor systems. These activities are performed either at irradiation facilities installed at the INT or at partner institutions to which our scientists have regular access.

 

Fraunhofer IPA and IOF

The Fraunhofer IOF develops solutions for all aspects of light generation, light guidance and light measurement. Depending on the task, Fraunhofer IOF offers the entire process chain or individual process steps for each of these areas – the design, the production of components, the assembly to opto-mechanical or opto-electronic systems, as well as a holistic characterization. Fraunhofer IPA conducts interdisciplinary research in different areas of production- and automation-technologies. The departments “additive manufacturing” and “ultraclean technology and micromanufacturing” are jointly developing hybrid processes based on additive manufacturing, precision assembly and dispensing technologies in order to utilise the design freedom of additive manufacturing in critical applications with high demands on accuracy, cleanliness and functional integration.https://www.ipa.fraunhofer.de

Fraunhofer IWS

The Fraunhofer Institute for Material and Beam Technology IWS Dresden stands for innovations in laser and surface technology. As an institute of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft zur Förderung der angewandten Forschung e.  V., IWS offers one-stop solutions ranging from the development of new processes to implementation into production up to application-oriented support. The fields of systems technology and process simulation complement the core competencies. The technology fields of Fraunhofer IWS include PVD and nanotechnology, chemical surface technology, thermal surface technology, additive manufacturing and printing, joining, laser ablation and cutting as well as microtechnology. The competence field of material characterization and testing supports the research activities.

At Westsächsische Hochschule Zwickau, IWS runs the Fraunhofer Application Center for Optical Metrology and Surface Technologies AZOM. The Fraunhofer project group at the Dortmunder OberflächenCentrum DOC® is also integrated into the Dresden Institute. The main cooperation partners in the U.S. include the Center for Coatings and Diamond Technologies (CCD) at Michigan State University in East Lansing and the Center for Laser Applications (CLA) in Plymouth, Michigan.

G&H

Glenair

Glenair is a leading supplier of ruggedized and harsh environment photonic components for fibre optic transmission of data, video and RF. We offer solutions with data rates up to 25Gbps per fibre, CWDM / DWDM and across optoelectronic modules with 2, 4, 8, and 12 fibre connector interfaces. Observatoire de la Cote d’Azur (OCA)

The Observatoire de la Côte d’Azur (OCA, or Côte d’Azur Observatory) is an internationally recognized center for research in Earth Sciences and Astronomy. [ Rich of a remarkable architectural and scientific heritage, it also hosts nowadays precision mechanics workshops, high performance computing centers and virtual observatories. ]
With some 450 staff located on four sites (Mont Gros and Valrose in Nice, Sophia Antipolis, and the Plateau de Calern observatory), OCA is one of 25 French astronomical observatories responsible for the continuous and systematic collection of observational data on the Earth and the Universe. Its role is to explore, understand and transfer knowledge about Earth sciences and astronomy, whether in astrophysics, geosciences, or related sciences such as mechanics, signal processing, or optics.

Synopsys’ Optical Solutions offers optical design tools and optical engineering services. We have two locations in Europe: Hyères, France and Munich, Germany.

Cancellations have to be sent by email to contact@icso2020.com

The following cancellation fees will apply:

  • Until 4 February 2021: 50% refund
  • From 5 February 2021: No refund. Fees will be definitely acquired by CNES.

In the event that CNES cancels an event for any reason, you will receive a refund for 100% of the fee paid. CNES shall assume no liability if a conference is cancelled, rescheduled or postponed due to an unanticipated event, Act of God, unforeseen occurrence, or any other event that renders performance of the conference impracticable, illegal, or impossible.

If CNES postpones or changes the event dates your registration will automatically be valid for the new dates.
